Safer Standards, Brighter Futures — A New Era in Aesthetic Medicine

On 6 August 2025, the Department of Health and Social Care announced new measures aimed at protecting the public from unsafe aesthetic procedures. As one of the UK’s leading providers of aesthetics education, the National Aesthetics Training Academy (NATA) is proud to support this long-awaited development.

What’s changing? High-risk procedures such as non-surgical Brazilian Butt Lifts will now be reserved for trained healthcare professionals operating under CQC-registered settings. Lower-risk treatments—including Botox and dermal fillers—will also be subject to stricter regulation through a new licensing system led by local authorities.

For practitioners, this is a turning point. Regulation is not a threat—it’s an opportunity to demonstrate excellence, gain public trust, and build sustainable careers rooted in best practice. NATA believes that education is key. That’s why we’ve created a clear, supported training pathway from Level 3 up to postgraduate Level 7 qualifications.

Whether you’re just starting or ready to advance to expert status, now is the time to invest in your education. The future of aesthetics is bright—and safer—for everyone involved.
