Our Story

We are the driving force behind the National Aesthetics Training Academy. Between us we have some 60 years of experience in clinical practice, 25 years in aesthetic practice and 20 years in clinical education. (No, we’re not 105 years old! We did do some of this concurrently)

The National Aesthetic Training Academy (NATA) first opened in 2020 ( We know – just when Covid struck !) and has been teaching students aesthetics theory and practice since then. We have undertaken product training for many of the large brands, including Vivacy, Fillmed and Derma Focus and have offered CPD courses in managing complications, botulinum toxin and dermal filler, skin boosters, microneedling and polynucleotides to name but a few.

In 2023 we decided to change our focus from ‘training’ to education and began work on our Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies. We wanted to do everything to the highest standards, so we liaised with the JCCP and found an awarding body called OTHM- who are approved by the JCCP to offer the Level 7 award.

It was important to us to get the right awarding body for our programmes, because not all awarding bodies are the same standard. In fact, the JCCP only recognizes and approves 2 awarding bodies in the country- including OTHM.

We then wanted to go further and get JCCP approval for our centre. This was a hard and lengthy procedure which involved the JCCP looking at every aspect of our provision; how we deliver the programme, our student support, our learning materials and our teaching premises. This was completed in early 2024 and we could now begin offering a Level 7 Diploma programme that has the highest stamp of approval and guarantees our graduates will be recognized by the JCCP whenever licensing for aesthetic practice comes into effect.

It is important to us that anyone undertaking our programmes can have the guarantee that not only are they getting highest quality education but they will also be future proofing their career.

We have continued to develop, adding a Fast Track route to Diploma for experienced aesthetic practitioners and also adding Level 3 and 4 qualifications, also awarded by OTHM for healthcare staff professional development and for non-healthcare staff who wish to practice at the highest standard within their scope of practice.

We will continue to grow and develop as the world of aesthetic medicine grows and develops, no matter what the future holds, we will always stand for quality, flexibility and value for money.
