The Post Graduate Aesthetic Dermatology course will equip you will the knowledge and skills to begin or broaden your aesthetic practice to encompass skin rejuvenation and regeneration treatments.
In recent times, the focus for aesthetic patients is turning more to treatments that can enhance their skin and provide a natural rejuvenation and anti-aging effect. As stand alone treatments or as a beneficial addition to injectable therapies, aesthetic skin treatments are becoming more and more popular.
You will undertake a core module in aesthetic dermatology, which comprises:
In depth anatomy and physiology of the skin, wound healing, recognition and management of common skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, rosacea, melasma, dermatitis, vitiligo, skin cancers and more. The module also covers effective skin health assessment methods as well as intrinsic and extrinsic factors affecting the aging skin.
You will then undertake a module on polynucleotides, including their composition and action in the skin, skin priming, protocols for all areas of the body, contraindications, side effects and aftercare.
Practice sessions will tale place at SATA premises in Liverpool. SATA will provide models, products and consumables.
Assessment will be by way a short multiple choice questionnaire to be completed at the end of each module taken.
