The VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Award in Chemical Skin Peeling presents an advanced credential tailored to beauty therapists holding a Level 3 qualification or medical experts looking to extend their treatment repertoire with advanced aesthetic therapies.

The Level 4 Chemical Peel course is much more than practical training in how to carry out a skin peel.. Participants will acquire an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the scientific principles behind the procedures, thereby building the skills and knowledge required for the safe administration of skin peeling treatments.

In addition, the course covers comprehensive instruction on conducting thorough consultations, devising personalised treatment plans, and delivering treatments thorough to  post-treatment guidance. Students will learn how to use a range of chemical agents for skin peeling, including but not limited to:

  • Lactic Acid
  • Salicylic Acid
  • Azelaic Acid

The course will cover the consultation process, a client centred approach, informed consent, treatment protocols and aftercare.

The science behind chemical peels, spanning the ‘whys,’ ‘how’s,’ and ‘when’ will be taught in detail. The course will also cover health and safety protocols, this will include areas such as establishing a sterilised workspace, aseptic technique, and proper equipment disposal.

Students will learn how to recognise and treat a number of skin conditions suitable for treatment with chemical peels, including acne and dehydrated skin to dull complexion, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation. The course requires the completion of six case studies integrating various acid treatments.

WHAT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THE VTCT (ITEC) LEVEL 4 AWARD IN CHEMICAL SKIN PEELING?

You will complete an online course via our interactive online learning portal. Attend 2 training days where you will learn how to carry out the treatment and complete the required case study treatments on live patients. You will then complete a theory exam (this can be done remotely) and then return to clinic to complete a final, externally assessed treatment

Do you offer finance  for this course?
Yes we do. We offer a 0% interest finance plan to help you spread the cost of your qualification. You will need to pay 50% of the course fee upfront plus a £50 administration fee. The rest can then be paid over 6 or 12 monthly installments. All prices stated are all-inclusive which means there are no hidden costs along the way
